Millennium Square acts as a fantastic central hub, it is home to a BBC Big Screen and a large water feature. A bronze statue of Bristol-born actor Cary Grant, other bronze sculptures include William Penn, William Tyndale and Thomas Chatterton, there are also a number of small painted bronze Jack Russell terrier dogs by Cathie Pilkington. You will also find the Bristol Eye located here, offering a trip around to highlight some of the best views Bristol has to offer. Millennium square also offers access to the Bristol Aquarium and The @Bristol Science Centre as well as access to many gyms, café’s, bars, restaurants and shops, This area also offers some great nightlife including casino’s and nightclubs such as Pryzm. A continuation from Millennium Square is Bristol’s Waterside where you can hop on a Ferry, or have a guided water tour of Bristol’s Harbour. The waterfront also offers many options for restaurants, bars and nightlife. Cultural highlights include the Arnolfini and a short walk away from the Bristol MShed free Museum and the new area of Whapping Wharf offering alternative restaurants and bars in Cargo.
The centre of Bristol offers one of the most prestigious theatre’s in the south west, the Bristol Hippodrome where theatre shows, musicals and ballet concerts can be viewed by all ages. A short walk from the Hippodrome is the Colston Hall offering an alternative night show with comedy sketches and music from well-known artists as well as smaller gigs for up and coming talent. Central Bristol also offers the iconic Bristol fountains, perfect for cooling down on a summers day, as well as further restaurants, shops and bars. Shoppers will take delight in Cabot Circus, Broadmead, The Galleries. Both have secure parking with easy access directly into the shopping centres and offer ample café’s, restaurants and retail outlets. Also on offer at Cabot Circus is the Jungle Rumble Mini Golf centre and the Showcase Cinema De Lux.
